Abha is characterised by a number of natural, cultural, historical and heritage features, and is one of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s most active cities in terms of tourism. Abha was awarded the title of ‘Arab Tourism Capital 2017’, thanks in part to its environmental diversity and temperate climate, given its location on the peaks of the Sarawat Mountains, at an altitude of around 2,200 metres above sea level.
